Olympism and young people
The Olympic Museum reserves a place of honour for its young visitors. Special programmes which encourage the discovery of Olympism and the Games are organised to cater to children, teenagers, schools or other groups of young people. These include tours of both permanent and temporary exhibitions, workshops,educational materials and more.
For schools (pupils aged 8 to 16)
- Beijing 2008 educational kit to download in French, English and German.
- A bank of photos to download to work on the kit’s images in class.
- Guided visits followed by a workshop on cultural identity (If I had grown up in Beijing...). This workshop highlights, in a recreational and interactive way, one or more elements of Chinese culture in order to raise students’ awareness of the manner in which an identity is constructed.
(Reservation only, CHF 50 per class + entry tickets. Duration: 1½ hours)
- Teacher’s Day: presentation of the educational programme for teachers (in French only) on 20 February from 2 to 5 p.m., registration only.

The Young Visitor’s Guide: The ideal partner with which to discover the permanent exhibitions ! This brochure, aimed at 10-15 year-olds, allows them to have fun working on the various themes addressed in the exhibitions (questions, photos, topics to develop in class). Available in French, English and German (2 CHF avec billet d’entrée).
