For the duration of the exhibition, the Olympic Museum introduces its visitors to modern China, that is, both the change process underway in society because of the catalyst of the Olympic Games, but also what remains of China's Eternal Empire. Young visitors activity Educational programme for schools (8-16 year olds
From February to October, The Olympic Museum is offering several different formulas to approach the Beijing 2008 programme
Educational kit designed as a guide to the visit for teachers and childcare workers. Download from www.olympic.org/pedagogie
Guided tour followed by a workshop (games, practical exercices) organised around a study on cultural identity

During the Games, the Museum brings you the competition news as well as physical and cultural activities that cleverly blend tradition and modernity!
At 9 a.m.: Taijiquan in the park. At 2 p.m.: Live broadcast of the Opening Ceremony. At 5.30 p.m.: Refreshments offered by the Museum and Beijing cuisine at the restaurant. At 9 p.m.: Pipa & Rock - a fusion project. Special concert by Yang Jing, one of the greatest pipa (Chinese lute) virtuosos accompanied by Swiss musicians (voice, guitar, keyboard, bass and percussion)

From 2.30 to 5.30 p.m.: Paper cutting. Demonstrations by Han Jing, artist and President of the Xi'an's Paper Cutting Association. Fan dance, Chinese painting, calligraphy and music. With the Qin Shi Shu Huà Shè Compagny (only Saturday & Sunday)

During the Games, the Museum brings you the competition news as well as physical and cultural activities that cleverly blend tradition and modernity!
At 9 a.m.: Taijiquan. From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Live and pre-recorded broadcasts of the competitions on a big screen. At 12 a.m.: Gastronomic fortnight. Beijing cuisine prepared by two chefs from the Hotel Management School of Beijing. From 5.30 to 8 p.m.: Athlete aperitif. In partnership with Lausanne FM, results and highlights of the day enjoyed with a drink. Debates and lounge music. Live broacast from Beijing

Young visitors activity 28th Olympic Week
The 28th Olympic Week, dedicated to 9-15 year olds, brings the Beijing 2008 programme to a close and offers new workshops on China.
Every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Traditional games & sports. Demonstration and introduction to wushu, street games. Music. Workshops with Yang Jin and the students of the Zurich Conservatoire. Calligraphy and introduction to Chinese. Make ink, hold a brush, trace caracters, learn some useful words. Kites. Make and decorate a kite before flying it in the air. Closing ceremony Wushu show and kite parade
