The Olympic values of excellence, friendship, and respect inspire the IOC and the Olympic Movement on both individual and organisational levels.

As the leader of the Olympic Movement, the IOC, in collaboration with its partners, demonstrates these values every two years at the Olympic Games and every day through a series of programmes and initiatives, with the aim of bringing our shared dream of a better world to life.

On the agenda

Besides the election of the host city for the XXII Olympic Winter Games, which is the highlight of the Session, a wide range of topics will be covered.

IOC members will receive a comprehensive update on the progress of the organisation of the Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010 and London 2012 Games, as well as on the work of the IOC commissions and administration. The Youth Olympic Games and the future of the Olympic sports programme will also be discussed during the meeting.
